Happy Independence Day!!!!
our 4th celebration was low-key this year, which it probably couldn't have gotten any better. we woke up and got ready to head over to Marissa and Justin's house for a rib cook-off between Jay and Justin.
it was so much fun! us girls relaxed by the kiddie pool, admired the hubbies BBQ'g away, and took up each others company. the lil girls had a blast... playing with chalk, dancing to music, pretending to be a sleep on the lawn, playing in the kiddie pool, and ending the night with some splish-splash in the bath (I think they thought they were giving me a bath, lol).
we had four different kinds of ribs to choose from. i seriously couldn't pick a favorite. they all had different flavors that filled my palette it would be hard. i think I had the most fun watching them cook it all up and knowing I was going to get to try it all out.
we spent the whole day over there. after we left we visited Jay's family since they live literally a couple houses away from the Taylor-Chaffee family. deanna gave jay a haircut for his big day and we visited for a little bit. as we headed home bri'elle fell asleep. she didn't have a nap all day so we knew that it would be the end of the day for her. since she was asleep we decided we wouldn't go watch the fireworks. all of us were so exhausted we could use the rest. and plus it was a workday the next day.
our weekend was booming!
