Momma In Focus Friday - July 21st

Momma in Focus Friday

July 21st -

This wasn't exactly on Friday but it will do. This is right before bed and Bri'elle was making mommy a plate of some yummy desserts. She isn't that I keep eating it. Every time I would give it back to her she would make me a new plate. I love playing pretend with her and seeing how her little imagination is working.

Momma In Focus Friday - July 15th

MOMMA IN FOCUS FRIDAY

JULY 15th -

Marissa and I took our lovely ladies to "Castle Park" for a picnic. This park is located in central Benicia. It's such a great location. If you walk down town there's also some great restaurants and some perfect sightseeing by the water. The day was a little breezy but it ended up being quite hot even though the sun wasn't directly on you. The park wasn't too busy when we got there which is always nice. After our lunch at one of the many picnic tables within the park area we headed over to let the girls run loose. And that they did seeing how they had tons of room to roam around for some fun. It is such a huge park with a lot of play structures some surrounded by bark and some surrounded by sand. The structure is wooden and has lots of slides, swings, monkey bars, and a tire area they can play with. I know I'm not describing it to its fullest so you will have to go there and see for yourself ;)

P.S.
Casey Martinez, the one who hosts the link up "Momma In Focus Friday" is no longer hosting the link ups. However, I'm going to still go along with each Friday capturing pictures of me and Bri'elle for the blog and call it Momma in Focus Friday.

Momma in Focus Friday - Patriotic

7-08-11 = Momma In Focus Friday = Patriotic

Today is my dad's birthday!

We celebrated by having dinner and invited some of the family over. My mom cooked dinner and my little sister Haley made his favorite cake. It was a lot of fun visiting with everyone and celebrating another year for my dad. I swear the older my parents get the younger I think they are. I guess that's good for them....

After we finished eating I took Bri'elle outside. We went swimming but after a lil while it started to get chilly so we played in the back yard. I got out the outside chalk and colored with my little girl. It was a lot of fun. For the theme we drew the American Flag. I love doing activities like this with her... she picks up on the activities fast and makes it fun for mommy to watch her.

Next was cake time which Bri'elle partly missed because we put her in the bath to start getting ready for bed but thanks to nana she had her cake and bath too! Bri'elle loved every minute of eating her cake in the bath. it was so hilarious. I guess that's one way to clean up her mess. haha!

For my dad's birthday I wanted to do something really special for him. He has a couple orange trees in the backyard that he planted a couple years ago. They haven't gotten many fruits but this year one tree grew a very pretty and huge orange. It looked so yummy and juicy (my dad gave it to my Aunt to try) but I'm sure it was delicious. Ever since that orange the tree hasn't bear any more fruits. My dad was a little sad but I had an idea. Early this year when we were out in the yard I had taken a picture of the orange. I remembered that and decided I was going to give him a painting of the orange. Recently I learned how to turn a photo into a painting through a program I have and I'm addicted to it. I love it so much. If I had enough time I probably would turn all my photos into paintings. It's such a unique form of art. Anyways, I created two edited photos of the orange along with the painting. Jay went and picked out a frame and taa-daa lone and behold his gift.

Momma In Focus Friday - Water

Prompt: Water

It was so HOT on Friday after I work I was glad to put my feet in some water. Bri'elle absolutely loves our pool. She wakes up and immediately says wa-wa or -side. I put her swimsuit on her and decided to go swimming. We had lots of fun. My mom went and bought tons of blow-up floaties for the pool to have fun with. Bri'elle was super excited and loved this blow-up seahorse my mom got. We had tons of fun and the water was ice cold so it cooled us down in no time.

We have so much fun in the pool. Bri'elle loves water so we have been teaching a little things here and there. Our hopes are to get her in some tot/parenting swim lessons this year. I can't wait to send her to actual swim lessons. I loved it when I was little and I know she will do great and have lots of fun.

Until the next hot day........ lol
