Merry Christmas!!!!!!
I can't believe Christmas has came and passed. It seems like it went by so quick. This year we filled our agenda with a lot of Christmas-things to do.
We put up decorations at our house. And helped decorate the tree at the in-laws.
Next we went to Candy Cane Lane with my mom, sisters, some of my sisters friends, and Jay's brother Len with his girlfriend and 2 kids. After Candy Cane Lane we had dessert at the Black Bear Diner. It was SO much fun! Next was a baking night of cookies and goodies. YUM!!! After that we had some movie nights of some nice homey Christmas movies. We also took a trip to Sunvalley Mall for Santa. Bri'elle wasn't too sure if she wanted to sit on Santa's lap so Jay and I sat with her. We also big one big family one of all the Edmunds kids plus Jay and Bri'elle. Jay and his sister also took a picture with Bri'elle on Santa. It was so great for everyone to take a trip out there together.
This year since we were really low on money especially around one of the most important times of the year, we weren't able to get gifts besides a few we were able to muster through the pocketbook. For Bri'elle we got her a couple, but she didn't really need anything anyways since she got TONS of stuff for her b-day and we knew she was getting more for Christmas.
When the big day came it was truly different then a lot in the past. For Christmas Eve Sherin & Laura came over to visit and watch Bri'elle open her gifts from them. Then Jay, Bri'elle, and I went last minute shopping for my dad for gifts to my mom. Once our shopping trip was over next on the list was Nana's house for Christmas Eve presents from them. The next day (Christmas morning) we woke up opened gifts and then had brunch with Jay's parents at our house. Once they left we got ready for Christmas on the Edmunds side and then dinner with the in-laws.
It was so awesome this year watching Bri'elle open presents and see the excitement. We also got to spend Christmas with Jays family which meant a lot to him. Even though it was really depressing because Jay and I weren't able to buy each other gifts it just allowed us to enjoy the real meaning of Christmas and being with everyone during the holidays.
The most scariest Christmas also happened this year when I got a phone call saying my brother was in a car accident. A year had ran a red light (not intentionally) and hit his car. Luckily him and the other driver are okay. My brother had some bruised ribs, a seat belt indent, and a cut on his leg. Very luckily considering my brother was driving through a big intersection and a girl thought her light turned red and went through it hitting my brother head on. We are sooooo thankful that he is okay even though his car is totaled.
Other than that we had a wonderful Christmas.
Pictures will be soon to come.

It sounds like you had a fun filled Christmas week. I love getting back to the simple and remembering the reason for the season. Its so great have a child to watch on Christmas and see their joy :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that your brother is okay - that is so scary.
